PROFILE

A rather late bloomer in international cricket, Rassie van der Dussen, is doing a Mike Hussey in this South African side. He’s currently their mainstay in the middle-order, and has this ability to shift through the roles of the anchor and the aggressor seamlessly. And he does it all through conventional cricketing shots. He earned his debut Protea cap in 2018, and in the four years since, he’s cemented his spot across formats. At 32 years and 54 days, he became the oldest South African cricketer to score an ODI century, and currently boasts of an average of nearly 70!

At MI Cape Town, he's formed one of the most lethal opening combos with Ryan Rickelton, and the duo played a major role in the team's title victory. There's no way we were letting go of him come season 4!
