Bigger, better, fresher, more charged up. The festive season in the Rainbow Nation is upon us. One month of proper breakneck cricket. The carnival. The extravaganza. The SA20 2025 has touched down! 

We couldn’t be more ready. After a couple of tough seasons, we are on a mission. A mission to thrill, a mission to bring the silverware to Newlands. A redemption mission. 

“Everyone is pumped up to deliver their best,” said our captain Rashid Khan at the pre-season captain’s press conference in Cape Town. 

We kick off our campaign with a clash against the Sunrisers Eastern Cape, the two-time champs. They’ve also been some sort of a nemesis for us. But this is a fresh year, a fresh start, and as Captain Rash put it, we are absolutely committed to turning it around. Kaapstad, we know the love you show for our city. It's time to get behind the boys again!

What to expect: We start off on the road, on a ground where the pitch is often said to be a road. Although it was a tad spicy last season, our batters are coming in with runs and confidence under their belt.
