Mission momentum: Let’s aim to consolidate the top spot

By MI Cape Town Media

We’re now officially on the road. From the western tip of the continent, we’ve now moved to the other side, into the Sunrisers’ territory, for the first of back-to-back games against them. It’s the Cape battle!

Currently at the top of the table with two wins in our three games thus far, Rashid and his boys would be super hell bent on maintaining the form they hit in the last game against the Joburg Super Kings. Almost everything we touched turned out right and in our favour. Early wickets, tight bowling to keep the pressure on, and then a clinical finish with the bat.

All we now need is to turn up, and replicate. Our three spinners strategy worked brilliantly on the used pitches back home, but with a fresh pitch set to be used at St. George’s Park, we might have to change our strategy a tad bit. It shouldn’t be worry though. Our skipper, after the last game, announced we had the “best bowling attack in the SA20”. And our seamers would be licking their lips.

Also, SEC would be desperate to get their campaign going. They have nothing to show on the board after their two games. They’d be coming in hungry, but trust us to be equally prepared!
