Momentum, Western Cape supremacy, making Newlands our fortress, we’re heading into Friday’s (January 19) game with all three checkboxes to tick. As our Head Coach, Robbie Peterson, put it, “it’s about getting that W against our name”. Another beautiful evening at Newlands beckons, another outing where the Newlands Faithful get right behind us awaits, the Paarl Royals are coming over having won each of their three games. It’s the perfect setting as we head into the weekend, and we’re determined to make it even better with that W. 

Although MI Cape Town didn’t have the best of seasons in the 2023 SA20, what we did manage was beating the Paarl Royals twice. We have the edge, we have the will, we have the team. We’ve been playing some super cricket, and it’s only a matter of time before we get on a roll. It’s an MI thing – start slowly, and then before you know it, become that unstoppable force.
