Bring it on. There’s plenty of unfinished business for us to take care of from season one. And we have some good news for you: the dates are out, the scene is set, the battle lines are drawn. Let’s sound the war cry! 

The second season of SA20 is set to begin on January 10, 2024 at Gqeberha with the defending champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape taking on the Joburg Super Kings. MI Cape Town would begin its journey from Duban in an away game against DSG on January 11, before heading over to Johannesburg for the mega clash against the Super Kings on a Saturday afternoon. The caravan then returns home, to the stunning Newlands for back-to-back games, where we start our quest to make it our fortress. 

Much like the first season, each team would play the other twice in a home-away format, following which the top four teams would progress to the next round. But in a departure from 2023’s tournament rules, the semi-final format will be replaced by the play-offs in 2024.
