Bowling coach Oram impressed with Linde's positivity and aggression
It wasn’t an easy loss to swallow having come within touching distance. MI Cape Town’s bowling coach, Jacob Oram, spoke about where the game went wrong for the team, and the areas to work on before the reverse clash in a couple of days. Excerpts…
The importance of the toss
The toss is a key element in the tournament so far. I think given it was a fresh wicket and the forecast for thunderstorms in the evening because of which the DLS would have come into play, we would have looked to bowl first.
On George Linde’s batting form
It was great to see George Linde continue some good form with the bat in two games in a row. He was really keen to continue that positivity and that aggression.
On what didn’t go our way
We tried really well I thought we had half a chance, but it was not to be our day. We were 10-20 runs short with the bat and we had a lot of dot balls. We have a good squad, we are not taking things for granted and make sure we play well. In 48 hours' time, we are going to face the same opposition. We need to dig up the information on where they did well and failed. We obviously need to focus on ourselves and do better the next time against these guys.
