ANNOUNCED for SA20 season 4: MICT's retentions, wild card, pre-signing

Fresh off a historic maiden SA20 championship title in 2025MI Cape Town has announced its list of retained players keeping a strong core of local and international talent as they gear up to defend their crown in the upcoming 2026 season.

A total of six playersfour domestic and two international — have been retained, all of whom played a pivotal role in the team’s success in 2025, not only in SA20 but also across the broader Mumbai Indians global system.

Among the South African contingent, Ryan Rickelton and George Linde continue their journey with MI Cape Town into a fourth successive season, while Corbin Bosch, who joined the squad last season, also returns. Kagiso Rabada has been signed as the franchise’s wildcard player, adding further firepower to the local lineup.

Leading the international roster is Rashid Khan, captain of MI Cape Town’s title-winning squad in SA20 2025, who will be back alongside Trent Boult. The duo played an instrumental role in securing the team’s maiden championship. Joining them will be pre-signed Nicholas Pooran, who is set to make his debut for MI Cape Town in 2026.

This retained core reflects the franchise’s belief in continuity, performance, and its mission to nurture a winning culture both on and off the field.
